HIKING

Explore your adventurous side with a refreshing hike. With several local spots and of course, with the Blue Ridge Mountains just around the corner from the campground, you have plenty of options. A few of our favorites include Little Bradley Falls (1.9 mi), Big Bradley Falls (4.5 mi), and Paris Mountain State Park Big Loop Trail (10.1 mi). If you're up for the drive, we also highly recommend heading to Brevard to check out the many trails available in the DuPont State Forest.

BIKING

Mountain bikers are welcomed with open arms here in Spartanburg county - from trails suited for beginners through your seasoned riders, there is a trail for you. Our most frequented spot for mountain biking is Croft State Park.

If you are more of a road rider, there are plenty of country roads around the campground to explore and get your miles in. Talk to Evan about biking!

HISTORIC SITES

If you are a history buff, there are three historical sites  to visit just a few miles away from the campground - Walnut Grove Plantation, the Historic Price House, and the Seay House.

TUBING

If you're interested in tubing, you are in luck! There are a few options available on the Green River in Saluda, and if you're interested in traveling a bit further (about an hour and a half), you can find tubing on the French Broad River in Asheville.

PUBLIC GREEN SPACES

There are plenty of  green spaces in the area that cater to different interests. Within just a few miles, you will find both Tyger River Park and  Croft State Park as mentioned above. In addition, the Swamp Rabbit Trail provides a beautiful greenway for use by walkers, runners, and bikers alike.

DISC GOLF

Spartanburg County Parks has dedicated a tremendous amount of effort into transitioning the Hub City into one  of the best disc golf hubs around. Check out the Disc Golf page on the Spartanburg County Parks website for more information about the parks in the area. PRCG's favorite parks are Tyger River and Pipeline!

Spartanburg is conveniently positioned between many popular city hubs including Greenville (30 min), Asheville, Charlotte, and Columbia (all 1.5 hours), Cherokee (2 hours), Atlanta and Charleston (3 hours). HORSEBACK RIDING

Just across the North Carolina border is the small town of Tryon that is well known for their commitment to equine activity. If you are interested in horses, we would highly recommend making the drive to check out the Tryon International Equestrian Center where they frequently host events.

BMW PERFORMANCE CENTER

Have a need for speed? The BMW Performance Driving School is a bucket list adventure only a few miles away in Greer, SC. Test drive several different models on the race track and learn safety best practices while you're at it. We've done it and would highly recommend testing out your skidding skills on the wet track!

WINE, BEER, & SPIRITS

Carolina beverages are becoming more popular as people grow to discover all the wonderful options available to us in the area. Home to a Distillery, Cidery, & Brewery, with plenty of great wines in surrounding areas, you are sure to find something that suits your tastes.
